Korean Crochet Ajumma

I miss watching the Korean progam that shows Koreans doing their best.  I’ve seen all kinds of things on this program.  I saw an ajosshi in a wallpaper manufacturer detect the tiniest defects as the wallpaper spun by only using his eyes.  I also saw an ajosshi throw noodles with the accuracy of a skilled marksman.  The show always puts up a challenge for the participant to test their skills in a new way.  Then the look of pride when they take that challenge and win.

I am  hoping to be taking some lessons from this lady when I get back from our visit to the States.  Her shop is in Suwon and she does incredible miniatures.  Hannah, my Korean girlfriend, found where her shop is and it’s only a bus and subway ride away.  Rocketman thinks I’m crazy to want to add more classes.  She works in polymer clay and I haven’t touch clay in a long time and I’m getting the urge to play in clay.

I tend to be negative more than positive when it comes to the subject of ajummas (older Korean women) and it’s time to change that because I have met many wonderful ajummas while living in South Korea.  So I hereby declare this week to be “Amazing Ajumma Week” where I will be sharing videos of amazing ajummas. Here is my first ajumma.  She is a bowmaker extraordinaire!!  Enjoy!
