Young Seo In

June 29, 2010

Young Seo In has left her Jewelry days behind and has come out with a CD of ballads. The big hit right now is “Love is Bitter, Pain is Calling.” She can sure sing. One of my favorites right now. I still love KPop!

Have You Never Been Mellow

March 7, 2010

I was working on this blog entry listening to my IPod when “Have You Never Been Mellow” by Olivia Newton-John came on. I hadn’t heard this song in ages and it was one of my favorites back in the 70’s. I also can’t remember the last time I used the word “mellow” in a sentence.

I looked the definition of “mellow” up on the internet:

1 a of a fruit : tender and sweet because of ripeness b of a wine : well aged and pleasingly mild

2 a : made gentle by age or experience b : rich and full but free from garishness or stridency c : warmed and relaxed by or as if by liquor d : pleasant, agreeable e : laid-back

3 of soil : having a soft and loamy consistency

I hope as I age to be “mellow.” Made gentle by age or experience. What an amazing thing to be.

Old Times!

February 26, 2010

While going through some old video I found this clip from May 2008. Our daughter and her family came to South Korea to visit us and one night we took our grandson, Noah, out to dinner with friends.

Noah will be 4 in April and I can’t believe how time flies!

Give Away!!!

January 30, 2010

I have a BIG birthday coming up on the 10th. Rocketman says that they are all big but I’m digressing. In honor of my BIG birthday, I’m going to give away this necklace I made. It is made using lilac and light chartreuse cording with a Chinese coin replica.

Here is a shot of the entire necklace. The only thing you need to do is leave a comment on this post. Also, leave an email or some way for me to contact you. I will randomly draw a winner on my birthday at 10:00am CST. Good luck everyone!!!

On my IPod I have some of my favorite Christmas songs. This one came on while I was working on this post. It is by The Blenders who just happen to be from the Twin Cities also. It’s called “When It Snows.” It seemed funny to be listening to it as my feet are freezing trying to finish this post. It’s all of 7 degrees out.
